The Great Caravan, Motorhome and Holiday Home Show, takes place from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th September at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate. It will be a great day out; the Show will be packed with caravan, motorhome and holiday home manufacturers, so you can be the first to see the latest models at the biggest outdoor caravan, motorhome and holiday home show in the UK.

Get up close and personal with the home from homes from companies including, ABI, Atlas, Aspire, Bailey, Carnaby, Coachman, Delta, Europa, Love, Oakgrove, Omar/Regal, Pathfinder, Pemberton, Prestige, Swift, Victory, Willerby and many others. This is your unique, annual opportunity to see everything in one place.

Alongside the manufacturers there are many supporting stands (including NACO, of course!) from e-bikes to parks to pet food. Inside the event halls, Leisure World will showcase a huge range of accessories including a huge range of awnings, furniture, BBQs and technology products – everything you could ever want or need will be there.

There will be some very special celebrity guests on stage including Yorkshire Vet, Peter Wright, Graeme Hall ‘the Dogfather’ and the Retirement Rebel AKA Siobhan Daniels. They will all have interesting stories to tell, so do head over to the stage to see your favourites.

For the first time at the Show there will be an artisan market with local crafts, which will be a great place to start your Christmas shopping!

The Show has lots of live music and interesting entertainers roaming around, face painting and a climbing wall for children at the weekend. There is food galore with 2 indoor cafes perfect for snacks or great Yorkshire-size meals plus street food options too (think Mexican burritos, exceptionally cheesy cheese toasties); so there is plenty to keep you entertained and well fed during your visit. The Show is dog friendly too and welcomes well-behaved dogs on non-retractable leads. It’s a big Show and so the organisers have booked a land train to help you move around easily.

Why not make a weekend of it? Harrogate is beautiful; it’s a great place to stay with good accommodation options from Rudding Holiday Park and Ripley Caravan Park which are both close by, to a huge range of hotels, apartments to rent and wonderful B&B’s. The choice of restaurants and cafes (including the famous Betty’s) is huge, our favourites include William & Victoria’s (classic British cuisine), The Orchid (pan Asian), Starling Café Bar (delicious pizzas and salads, plus craft beers) and that’s just for a start, but do book early as Harrogate is a busy and popular place to eat. Once you have seen the Show (and remember you can use your ticket on all 3 days if you wish) there are some amazing local attractions from Fountains Abbey to The Himalayan Garden & Sculpture Park. You may also like to visit Harewood House, Ripley Castle, Newby Hall and Gardens, How Stean Gorge, Stump Cross Caverns, Lightwater Valley Family Adventure Park, Ripon Prison and Police Museum…phew that’s a lot but not all of them by a long chalk! So many things for you to see and do. If none of that tickles your fancy try a Turkish Bath or visit a spa (Rudding Park is our favourite). If that is not enough for you, visit York, Leeds and the Yorkshire Dales which are all within easy reach of Harrogate.
