

Why I love…The Cadac E-Braai
Cadac are certainly at the forefront when it comes to portable grilling and campsite cooking. We were asked to put their new Cadac E Braai BBQ to the test. Like all Cadac products the quality is fantastic and it was quick and easy to set up.
We set up to feed the troops at NACO HQ and we decided to rustle up some Chicken and Halloumi burgers.
The grill heated up nice and quick and the digital dial temperature control was super easy to use. The fact that you can just plug this little beaty in and it’s ready to go is a big win. You can adjust the cooking temperature between 70°C and 270°C. The BBQ has some special tech that gives you an accurate reading of the actual temperature on the grill meaning that you have much more control of the cooking.

The fact that you can set the grill at a low temperature also means that you can experiment with ‘low and slow’ cooking too.
With some careful preparation we managed to get 12 tasty burgers rustled up in no time – the spec says that it’ll feed 6 which is more realistic given the space on the grill. The whole thing is easy to clean and the actual grill itself can go in the dishwasher. The removable fat pan lifts out for easy cleaning of both the pan and the tempered glass ring that protects the electric coil from cooking fats and juices.
We cooked outside on a windy day and the BBQ didn’t flinch a bit, the dome lid hooks onto the base to act as a windshield or splash-back. We loved the fact that the whole thing was so quick and easy! A carrying bag is included as well, so it’s easy to transport if you need to.
