Climate change is affecting every issue of our way of lives and holiday caravanning is no exception.

Insurers are constantly monitoring flood risk by closely following the Environment Agency’s National and Local Plans on flood areas. As a result, parks in flood areas now are assessed as vulnerable to flooding, with the majority without flood cover.

Storms and high winds are also now a major threat. Despite the improved build methods the manufacturers have adopted over the last twenty five years – powerful storm force winds can do serious damage to our new style caravans and lodges. Evidence of this was during Storm Arwen at the end of November 2021. Losing or having your caravan/lodge damaged is not something anybody would want to experience. But as we are all well aware Mother Nature has always been the most powerful of all the world’s armies – so respect must be the best way forward.
