If you are thinking of upgrading your Static Caravan / Lodge
The market of static caravans/lodges has proved to be a difficult one for parks and manufacturers so far this year.
Manufacturers have been carrying far more stock than they usually do, while most parks have struggled to retain their normal sales figures. So, if you are thinking of upgrading your holiday home – I suggest now is the time.
…you will find that some good deals will be on offer…
From the information coming from our own parks, extra discounts are on offer from the manufacturers to most of the parks nationwide as they are keen to reduce their stock levels. So, I am sure you will find that some good deals will be on offer for you or certainly something you will be able to negotiate…
If you are part exchanging your current holiday home, its value should be at a premium, particularly if it is between five and eight years old. Second-hand caravans/ lodges are a more economical purchase
so are selling quite well right now. So, a win-win situation for the purchaser.
So, it is ‘dealing boots on’ and remember it is not just about the cost – now is the time to speak about your contract too. With our new modern caravans/lodges a ten-year contract is a bit ‘old hat’ I think. Twelve to fifteen years for a new caravan/lodge in today’s marketplace is more than fair.
So Good Luck and let us hope that things start moving in everyone’s favour.

Spare a thought for the plumber!
When it comes to siting a new caravan/lodge, our poor plumbers are stuck underneath all day. Twenty-five years ago – four taps, a shower head, two waste pipes and a toilet – all done.
A different story today – eight taps, a shower head, five waste pipes, two toilets, dishwasher, washing machine and in some cases – even an ice maker. Bad back or what!!
Keep up the good work all you plumbers. What would we do without you?!
