For years, we’ve been reliant on gas bottles to heat our homes and fire up our hobs but what if all-electric holiday homes weren’t just a future dream, but a here and now reality? The innovative team at Victory Leisure Homes can now offer a wide range of options to take your holiday home even closer to off-grid status, making your staycation more sustainable and, in the long run, cheaper.

Sunshine savings

With 10 solar panels on the roof, alongside a Sunsynk battery to save the energy you generate, you could save over £1000 per year on energy bills. You’ll also have access to an app that tells you exactly what you’re using and where from e.g. solar or the National Grid.

Water wins

Their Sunamp hot water system provides hot water at mains pressure so you can say goodbye to cold showers. Once charged, it’ll heat 128 litres of water and will store energy for 10 days so even if you go away for the weekend, you’ll have hot water when you get back.

On the boil

Their 99% efficient electric boiler means there’s no need for gas bottles and it’ll work with your current central heating system. You can also opt for the Origin Smart pack to control the system remotely, and access additional features like heat wastage, water leak, and home entry alerts.

Stress-free showers

The Kelda water-saving shower device can save almost £500 a year in running costs. Using a mixture of water and compressed air, you get the feeling of a power shower without realising you’re using less water.

What else?

Mike Garner, the Operations Project Manager, said, “Our new range of eco options have been designed for the holidaymakers of the future who are looking to enjoy a sustainable staycation in style. The possibilities are endless and in future we’ll be looking at kinetic lighting, where you can carry a light switch from room to room, Legionella detection, and even better ways of manufacturing to make our homes better for the planet – and your pocket.”

Victory Leisure Homes will be showcasing their latest eco-innovations at the Great Holiday Home Show in Harrogate this summer, but you can also visit their showground in East Yorkshire to see their solar panelled home in action.

Thinking of adding solar panels to your holiday home or lodge?

Victory Leisure Homes are owned by The Rix Group, a family business steeped in over 150 years’ history. As well as creating holiday homes, they also have an in-house energy company, Rix Energy Services, who can retrofit solar panels and a battery onto your home*.
